Birding

The birding tours we offer are customized to our clients needs. Whether you are a fanatic birder who likes to see a selection of target species, or if you just started birding and want to have a nice day outside, we are there for you. Therefore we don't have standard tours but we give an impression of the possibilities. Feel free to contact us, and together with you we can work out what the best options are.

Most of our clients are staying in AmsterdamRotterdam or The Hague so we give you an impression what to expect there over the year. Another polular destination is the Island Texel which is the largest or the Wadden Islands. If you have more then one day to spare it might be interesting to visit other parts of the Netherlands.

In the winter the northern part holds large numbers of aquatic birds like ducks, geese, waders and herons. The central part with the Hoge Veluwe National Parc and the Oostvaardersplassen are also beautiful areas to visit. Here one can see Black Woodpecker, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Golden Oriole, Wood Warbler, Willow and Crested Tit.

The southern part has the Delta in the west and in the east the hills and older forests. The delta has a large variety of birds where one can see several species of geese (incl Red-breasted or Lesser White-fronted), waders (Purple and Curlew Sandpipers, Kentish Plovers etc), divers and grebes, spoonbill, Peregrines, Short-eared owl, Long-tailed Duck, White-tailed Eagle and so on. In the south-east tip one can see Eagle Owl, Corn Bunting, five species of Woodpeckers (incl Black- and Middle Spotted Woodpecker) and any with luck a Dipper.
