With many conference centers, international business and organisations situated in The Hague many birders who attend these meetings of conferences add a couple of days to their stay to go birding for one more days.
You can almost walk outside the city and into the dunes where you can observe Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Nightingale, Bluethroat, Red-crested Pochard and many other birds. At the pier of Scheveningen you can find wintering Purple Sandpipers, Rock Pipits and with luck some Snow Buntings.
The Hague is also not far from the tulip fields or the delta which if a great place to go birding at any season. But in most occasions we stay in the area and visit several sites and habitats and go over the 100 species.
