The day started well with a White-tailed Eagle flying straight over the car and then disappeared back into the mist.

On the Kleine Praambult the day was kicked off with a hot cup of coffee. Unfortunately
it was still very misty above the plain, but despite that we soon saw 2 White-tailed Eagles flying that caused the necessary panic in the Greyleg Geese. And not unjustified, because we witnessed a juvenile bird that hit a goose against the ground and started picking.

After this we walked towards bird hide and we soon found ourselves in the middle of a
mixed group with Long-tailed, Willow, Great and Blue Tits, Eurasian Nuthatch and Short-toed
Treecreeper.

At the bird hide were a number of Northern Shoveler and Common Teals. The highlight was a Red Fox that walked right in front of the hide.

In front of the another bird hide there were many ducks, especially Eurasian Wigeons and
Northern Shoveler, but also a group of about 30 Pied Avocets is worth mentioning. Along the path we regularly came across Firecrests and all around us we heard Redwings and Song Thrushes.

Along the path the distinct call of the Bearded Reedlings, but whatever we tried, we
unfortunately did not get them in sight. The last species we could add was a Common Kingfisher that sat along the dike on the way back to Almere!
