After their tour through Europe, Kevin (a very experienced birder from New York State) and Karin wanted to end with a tour in the Oostvaarderplassen. The trip started early in the morning at their hotel in Amsterdam from which we drove to the Oostvaardersplassen. The weather forecast had promised clear and sunny weather, which it was.

Finally! It felt very special to guide a first tour after a long period and maybe because of that we where treated with fantastic sightings!

Per July 1st it's allowed to come into contact with smaller groups and sit in the car with others besides relatives. Because of this we can also offer our services again. We keep the health and safety of our clients and guides as the main priority.

Full Day tour Noord-Holland looking for waterfowl

Sunday the 6th of October at 07:30 I picked up Maud and Paul in Amsterdam to go birding for a day.

As I drive to Arnhem to pick up Max and Liz, who are on a European tour (UK, Netherlands and Germany) to see historical sights of WWII and also wanted to do some birding, it’s very misty. This creates a wonderful atmosphere with the old buck trees and mist while I pass the National Parc Hoge Veluwe.
