Sarah and Lisa, guests from Florida and avid birdwatchers, decided to conclude theirEuropean trip with a full day of birding, aiming to add more European species to theirlife list.

Full Day Birding in Flevoland with 63 species recorded.

On the 28th of May Lesley took Leopoldo on a full day photography tour in the center of the Netherlands. All images taken that day by Lesley.

After a short drive out of Amsterdam we arrive at the first spot of the day and are welcomed by the call of the Cuckoo. Two males are chasing a brown morph female. Good that we do see them because both Mike and Karen need to see the bird to add it to their joined list so we’re up for a challenge.

Monday April 17, a misty morning I (Cor Visser) met Kristine and Richard at their hotel in thecenter of Amsterdam. It was their last day before they left for Colorado. They wanted tospend another day birding in the Netherlands. We decided to go to the Oostvaardersplassenin the hope that the fog would lift.

Today, April 14, I was able to guide Betsy, Kenneth and their daughter and son-in-law for half a day. At 07:00 I picked them up at the hotel in the center of Amsterdam. We decided to go to the Oostvaardersplassen.

The steam comes from the can as we poor in our coffees at the first site of the day. It's just above freezing with a clear sky before sunrise. We have an early start hoping to find the woodpeckers.

Early April, a returning client of Birding Netherlands, Sergio, came to The Netherlands. I hadbeen shooting with him years ago in the province of Zeeland and looked forward going outwith this very friendly and skilled photographer.

Trip report from Max Waasdijk guiding a half day private tour at the delta south of Rotterdam

The day started well with a White-tailed Eagle flying straight over the car and then disappeared back into the mist.

On Sunday 25 September I had guided a half day tour to the Oostvaardersplassen with Priya. Priyahas lived in the Netherlands for a number of years but has never been birding in the Netherlands. At 7:00 am I picked her up in Amstelveen and we left for the Oostvaardersplassen. The weather looked good for this morning.
